At the beginning of December, we launched our main net application, which introduced custom NFT requests to the world. Since it launched, we’ve also launched contests for Axie Infinity, Harmony, Polygon, and other amazing crypto projects. While we’re proud of the amount of work we’ve put in so far, we are still far from realizing the true potential of Creaticles. That being said, the first chapter of our focus for bringing Creaticles to the world is to offer a product that other crypto projects want to use to source their own custom NFTs.

Chapter 1: Features for the Crypto Projects

For our upcoming product release updates, we’ll be building around the following two themes: adding more utility for various tokens, and improving the overall user experience with Creaticles.

Features for Tokens ($CRE8 and Other Tokens)

With our focus on bringing value to the Creaticles ecosystem through partnerships and activities with other crypto projects, one of the things we asked ourselves was how we can more closely integrate with various projects and get their communities involved in the entire Creaticles experience.\

  1. Token Payment — contest creators will be able to start offering rewards in crypto outside of $ETH or $CRE8. For example, contests can support prizes in $DAI or $SAND, once this feature is available. This allows projects to reward their winners in their native tokens.
  2. Token Voting for Winners — when crypto projects are running contests, they may want to get as much community involvement as possible outside of simply submitting NFT art. Creaticles is implementing a system that allows projects to open up voting for the winners. This system will require holders to hold a specific token, as decided by the contest creator; if the voter has this token, he or she can cast a vote to help decide on the winner. At the end of the voting period, the winner with the most votes wins the contest.
  3. The Reputation System — reputation on Creaticles has always been an integral part of our vision, because it not only allows the community to sort for quality, but also allows the artists to start building a reputation in the NFT space. We will be implementing the reputation system, which will also release mining tokens. The process of mining tokens through Creaticles builds reputation. Mining can be done through 1) submitting NFTs to contests, 2) creating contests, 3) winning contests, or 4) selecting winners of contests. More details about mining will be available once the reputation system goes live.
  4. Creaticles Governance — as a separate project, we are also rolling out governance on Creaticles so that we can start turning decisions over to the community as quickly as possible. We will offer this governance option to the community immediately once it becomes available.

Improvements on User Experience

With the introduction of various other tokens to our platform, we will also be building some user experience improvements:

  1. USD pricing conversions — the USD price will show up next to the amount of each reward so that users can begin to see how much value that reward provides, based on current market price. This means that whether a prize is set in $ETH, $CRE8, $SAND, or another token, users will know exactly what the prize is in terms of a dollar value without needing to do any conversion calculations. We’ll do it for you.
  2. Multichain Compatibility — we understand that gas fees on Ethereum are a current barrier to entry for many trying to create contests. We will be integrating with other chains and layer-2 solutions to bring users a faster and less-expensive experience on Creaticles.
  3. Image Compression — right now, we load the full resolution of each NFT that is submitted, in order to show off their true quality. By compressing the images, we’ll be able to load these NFTs faster on our app without sacrificing quality.
  4. Email Notifications — with the implementation of email notifications, users will be able to receive important updates about their Creaticles contests or NFT submissions (e.g., that their contest has ended and they need to select a winner, or that their NFT was selected as a winner).

The team is hard at work getting these features set up and launched. We think it will bring a better experience for users, and more value to the crypto projects that participate in NFT-sourcing through the Creaticles ecosystem.
